Rankdarbių skrynia is a space where careful, authentic and high-quality handmade products are born.

Our goal is to offer distinctive, practical and aesthetic handmade products for children and adults – for gifts and everyday life. Every product is made by hand with attention to detail and finishing, so each piece is unique and may differ slightly from what is shown in the photos. We pay special attention to safety and the choice of materials, especially for children's products.

At Rankdarbių skrynia you will find handmade souvenirs for children, original gifts and a variety of durable products. Clarity, simplicity and a responsible approach to creativity matter to us. We aim for every product to be not only beautiful but also meaningful.

Social impact

The social workshops "Rankdarbių skrynia" are not only a place for creating handmade products but also a meaningful community where every person can open up and realise their abilities.

Since 1 June 2020, 12 people with psychosocial or intellectual disabilities work in the social workshops every day. Together they create unique collections of handmade products and souvenirs that delight children, adults and their families across Lithuania.

Our mission and goals

To integrate people with disabilities into the labour market by making in-demand, high-quality handmade products.
To give every person the opportunity to feel like an independent member of society.
To create a meaningful, inclusive and responsible work process.

Our workshops create real change:

12 people have a safe, supportive working environment;
more than 360 hours of meaningful occupation are provided every week;
professional and social skills are developed;
independence is strengthened;
social exclusion is reduced;
sustainable handmade products are created.

It is a place where everyone can grow, learn and create their own story.

I want to work.

"Not suitable." "We're looking for someone else."

It seemed the world was telling me – no.

Until one day someone saw
not my disability. But me.

Here I can. Here I create.

The makers of the workshops

Eligijus is an active workshop participant who enjoys always being busy and being among people. He is careful, patient and takes every task seriously.

Eligijus especially likes to embroider. He enjoys meticulous work, where a beautiful product is born from small details, stitch by stitch. He does work that requires care – he finishes glasses chains, attaches the necessary details and makes sure they are ready to travel to their new homes.

Together with the team, Eligijus goes to tidy graves and takes part in landscaping work. In the workshops he also willingly helps wherever needed – he notices what can be done and joins in common tasks.

It is important for Eligijus to be among people, to be active and to see the result of his work. His carefulness and willingness to contribute are an important part of the workshops' everyday life.

Every maker has a unique talent. Eligijus's is carefulness, patience and the ability to create from small details something that later delights others.

Artūras has attended these workshops the longest, so he feels at home here. He is friendly, flexible and always ready to help, whatever work awaits.

Artūras can do a lot: he cuts fabrics for future products, sews and strings beads for jewellery and accessories. His skills cover almost the entire production process – from cutting the first fabric to the last bead.

Artūras has graduated in economics – this experience helps him stay tidy and responsible at every stage of work.

Artūras's flexibility and willingness to try new tasks mean he can always be relied on when help is needed with any part of a product.

Every maker has a unique talent. Artūras's is versatility, friendliness and loyalty to the workshops from the very first day.
